We are proud to manufacture sustainable, storytelling lace in the Netherlands, inspired by our brides’ background and heritage. To encourage environmental friendliness, Mansion M’Elise offers a circular solution to give your wedding dress a second life. We can transform your lace gown into a beautiful modern painting or create a stunning crib for your newborn.
Although her name and appearance suggest that she is Dutch, designer Maaike Stofferis (31) from fashion label Maison M’Elise, has only been living in Rotterdam for five years. Born in London, she has moved no less than nineteen times, from Europe to the Middle East and back. Now she makes wedding dresses and party clothes with influences from the many cultures she has become familiar with. Editor-in-chief Liza thought it was time for a chat with the designer.
